Today is the relaxing, not too much driving, day. We headed back into Lahaina for shopping. Some one parked in my spot!
We had lunch at Da Kitchen, one of the restaurants mentioned when we checked into the hotel. This is real Hawaiian food and reasonably priced in a tourist zone.
We learned that Mauna Loa (a subsidiary of Hershey who owns the Macadamia nut company) was having a sale. If you bought 35 bucks of nuts, they gave you a insulated bag to put them in. OK, I admit, I couldn't resist making a joke about it.
Luau #3 was at our hotel. This is the only luau we've been to that didn't make us look into the sun. The show's finale was the Samoan Fire Knife dance. The other luaus didn't have Fire Knife. If you're coming to Hawaii, you should see this at least once. For those keeping score, best food, luau #1. Best staging of the show, luau #2. Best (only) Fire Knife, luau #3.
