I had a lazy last day of shopping and packing. First, we walked to the largest market in Saigon to buy coffee. The booth I normally buy from is still not open this new year. I walked around the market smelling everyone's coffees to decide who had the freshest. Not surprisingly, it was the most expensive. On the way out, I found the coconut candy I like. Finally, we found the soft drink. Shopping now over, the question was, what would fit into the bags?
At lunch, a shoe shine boy pitched me. This was on today's agenda. After dragging these shoes through sand dunes, I was planning on a shine the last day. He did them while I ate. The rest of the day was spent in the hotel packing, resting, and showering.
The flight was at 23:55. I headed to the airport at 20:30. On arrival, I discovered that one of the bags was five pounds too heavy. Half of the soft drink had to be taken out. My Lovely Wife is staying in Vietnam for a while longer. She took the excess back to the hotel.
I find airports a stressful environment. I like doing very little on flight day.
